Brief Introduction:

InnoTrans is the world's largest trade fair focused on the rail transport industry. It is held every two years at Berlin exhibition grounds, which has outdoor standard gauge railway sidings which can be used to exhibit railway vehicles. During the weekend after the trade show the public can visit the rolling stock on display.

InnoTrans has become established as an international industry showplace focusing on Railway Technology. A full range of rail vehicles are presented in static displays on the Messe Berlin tracks located outside the exhibition halls. Other key InnoTrans features include Railway Infrastructure, Interiors, Public Transport and Tunnel Construction.

On 18 September 2012 the leading international trade fair for transport technology will again point the way forward for the future of mobility. This unique combination of trade fair, convention and exhibits on the outdoor rail displays generates an excellent response in the industry and is constantly setting new records. Compared with the already very good figures at previous events, on the most recent occasion attendance by trade visitors rose by 21% to 103295, the number of exhibitors increased to 2243 and the net display area grew by a further 19% to 81171 ㎡.

Railway technology: progress on the move

The largest segment of InnoTrans is also the principal shop window for worldwide innovations in rail transport. This is where the industry can stage wide-ranging displays of components and systems, from drive units to the maintenance of rolling stock.

Railway Infrastructure: determining the direction for the future

Technology which transcends existing boundaries presents railway infrastructure with new challenges. New demands are constantly being imposed by the requirements of a modern, properly maintained network. The world’s principal meeting place features solutions that create all the right conditions for efficient railway operations. These range from track systems to construction, signaling and control systems.

Interiors: opportunities for ideas and new markets

The markets of the future will demand more comfort and safety as well as outstanding design. For all suppliers offering innovative solutions in this area, the expanding segment of Interiors will stimulate interest in their new ideas and provide access to a receptive potential market from all over the world. Items on display range from user-friendly operating systems and interior trim to disability-friendly equipment, pinch protection systems and lighting installations.

Public transport: remarkable progress

The public transport segment has evolved into one of the most important trade fair platform for highlighting this complex of subjects. It presents a comprehensive picture of public transport, including everything from information technology, passenger information systems and data processing, to safety systems and fare management, as well as all kinds of passenger transport services. The subject is augmented by the local and regional buses on display.

Tunnel construction: breakthrough for ideal connections

The Tunnel Construction segment at InnoTrans has already reaped the benefits of the links between its subject matter and that of Railway Infrastructure. All imaginative suppliers are assured of attracting widespread international attention. This is where they can present construction products and materials, powerful tunneling machines and technology, as well as engineering services for the improvement and maintenance of existing tunnels and the construction of new tunnels.

Outdoor display: Encouraging innovation

The outdoor display is a unique feature of InnoTrans. A total of 3500 meters of track is connected directly with the exhibition halls and to the public transport network. All the latest developments in the industry will be on show, from road-rail vehicles and construction vehicles to freight cars and locomotives, as well as entire system for local, regional and main line services.

About us and Retrospect:

Our company is a special branch of China Minmetals Corporation and the earliest exhibition company to organize Chinese companies attend oversea railway exhibitions. We keep close contact with railway companies of China.

It is the forth time for Minmetals to organize Chinese companies to participate in InnoTrans ever since 2006. As the official partner of InnoTrans in China, our company has made great effort to promote InnoTrans among the Chinese companies and obtained remarkable effects. We organized 20 companies to InnoTrans 2010, with a total area of over 520 square meters. The companies included CNR, CSOC, Taiyuan Heavy Industry, Huawei Technology, KTK Group, Chengdu Xinzhu and other renowned enterprises in China. During the preparatory stage, we took on the heavy work of forwarding exhibits, the whole of which reached over 200 cubic meters, including the headstock of the railway vehicle. Despite all difficulties, all of the exhibits arrived at the stands without any delay before the build-up, and as a result we were highly appreciated and praised by Chinese companies.
